My Happy Place Boracay

I had the opportunity to go to Boracay in 2007 courtesy of a post break up drama of a friend.  We were plan B. And it was a good plan. Lols. Accommodation was paid already. All we need to do was to pack up our things, file our vl's and we're ready to go.

Grabbing some breakfast

There was a measles outbreak in our office that time, and it was a really good time to be away. We had a summer end trip since it was June.

Nope, we didn't fly to Boracay. We brought a car to Mindoro via Roro. Spent the night in Mindoro, left the car and rode another Roro going to Caticlan. It was fun.

Ro-Ro (Roll-on/Roll-off) ship. These are ferries designed to carry wheeled cargo such as automobiles, buses etc.

After the road trip and the Roro rides. We arrived in Boracay.

We donated Php 50 so we can have picture taken with this sand art

First timers that we are, we immediately hurried to start our activities for that day. We tried the banana boat ride, island hopping, buko eating, fun swimming and immediately fell in love with the place.

And I fell in love with Puka Beach.

After falling in love with Boracay, I came back almost every year. It is indeed a happy place!

Tagging along in Puerto Galera

You see, I have a very strict parents. I didn't even experienced sleepovers until I'm working! I have 7PM curfews and can't even use the phone past 6PM when I was in high school. So when I was already working, you wouldn't imagine my excitement to go out and explore places, to be independent, to hang out with friends, and to travel!

When I got my chance, I volunteered myself to tag along with my friend and her friends whom I haven't met yet in their summer vacation in Puerto Galera. Luckily, there were all friendly even if I'm party crashing.

This was April 2007.

Why Blog?!

I had attempted several times to write and always fail. For some reason, the idea seems to fly away the moment I start typing. But somehow, the idea of writing and sharing always keep on knocking so here I am now blogging.

Anyhow, the beauty and wonder of God's creation I've seen and experienced in my travels is my motivation to write, to share and to express my love for exploring. I hope, in my amateur writing, I can best express how and what I feel whenever I'm traveling.
