July BDJ Box: Unboxing Moment

I was totally honest with my disappointment on last month's box. I even considered unsubscribing. But a little voice inside me whispered I should wait for July then make a decision whether to continue with the subscription or not. I'm happy I waited.

Much to my heart's content. Here's my unboxing moment.

Wait, I received 2 boxes. 1 box with all Dove products in it and the usual BDJ box.

OMG! Dove. On my June BDJ box post, I mentioned I was not too happy with the Loreal products because I'm an avid Dove user. And to give me 8 full sized items?! Just amazing!

I got a soap, a roll on, a deo spray, dove intense hair repair, 2 shampoos and 2 conditioners. My mom loves Dove too so I gave her the other shampoo and conditioner. Total of 8. All the products must have cost more than two thousand but I only paid Php 580. Sweet deal!

Take a peek what's inside the other box.

That's beach hut sunscreen. An essential and timely as my banana boat sunscreen is 1 squeeze to nothing left. I go to the beach even during rainy months. I have beach trips this coming September and October and this saved me the hassle to buy since my sunscreen is almost empty. Well, I also use sunscreen each day the sun comes out. It's an everyday essential, not only for beach trips. ^_^

Beach Hut Sunblock - The aerolized form of this innovative Beach Hut Sunblock allows you to quickly go out and have fun under the sun. No need to spread it after spraying it on - no mess, non sticky with all the protection.
Price: Php 399

A revlon lippy lip butter in Lollipop shade, which I really like. I used it the moment I opened it. The shade perfectly suits me.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Lollipop - Hydrating mango, shea, and coconut butter formula boosts lip moisture by 156%, making application buttery smooth.
Price: 525

Enchanted "After Midnight" eyeshadow that my sis would really love to try. Smokey eyes it is.

Enchanted Eyeshadow - This long wear eyeshadow palette from Enchanted contains three shades that allow you to add depth and drama to your peepers.
Price: Php 179

This one is too cute. This is a perfect travel essential. I don't really wear make up but my staples are bb cream, eyeliner and lippy.

Too Cool for School BB Cream - The travel sized  version is perfect for girls always on the go, as this BB Cream quickly covers all natural skin imperfections for a natural  flawless skin! It has SPF 37 PA+++ so you are always protected wherever you go.
Price: Php 219

The foot skin peeling socks that's included in the box intrigued me and I cannot wait to use it. Haha. The sure slim voucher I might just give away. I'm trying to gain not to lose weight, lols.

Foot Appeal Mask - Reveal soft, smooth feet after just one use of Foot Appeal's Peeling Sock.
Price: Php 279

Sure Slim Voucher - 1500 pesos off on their weight loss program

Am I satisfied? Oh my, I was literally leaping with gladness I didn't push the stop payment on my Paypal account. I guess I shall continue with BDJ box. I am a certified Bella after all. Xoxo.

First Day in Bali | Jimbaran Beach Dinner

Jimbaran is a small town located about two miles south of the Bali airport.

The airport is very close by, we can actually see aircrafts in landing position. There was even an aircraft (Lion Air) that missed the runway and instead fell off to sea. Scary. Good thing we had a smooth landing via Air Asia.

The beach lining Jimbaran Bay is one of the best in Bali, its fine white sand an absolute pleasure to walk on. The beach's location makes it an obvious epilogue to any visit to the kecak performances at the clifftop temple.

About forty to fifty seafood restaurants of varying price and quality line the shore. Our partner tour operator chose Furama for our dinner.

The dining scene in the town of Jimbaran in Bali is nothing like the fancy restaurant crowd you'll find closer to Kuta or Ubud. Instead of sitting in intimately-lit dining spaces, you'll sit on tables set right on the sand, out in the open, next to the sea.

Your dinner will be simple yet very Balinese: seafood, marinated and spiced according to the island's culinary traditions, and grilled over burning coconut husks. You'll dine in the midst of one of Bali's most romantic dining settings: sitting on the beach with the sound of the murmuring surf in the air, your meal illuminated by candles and the moonlight, penjor waving in the wind.

There were a lot of seafood restaurants in Jimbaran Beach, all of them with the same setting of arranging dinner tables facing the beach where sun sets every evening

We were served

- Welcome Drink
- Balinese Peanut
- Fish Soup
- Grilled Fish 350 gr
- Grilled Prawn 2 pcs
- Grilled Clams 2 pcs
- Squid Calamari 200 gr
- Grilled Crab 250 gr
- Steamed white Rice
- Kangkung Vegetables
- Special Sauce Bumbu Bali
- Slice Tropical Fruits
- One Bottle of Mineral Water

Filipinos still need a visa to Japan

I opened up my facebook page this morning and found almost everybody rejoicing that Japan has lifted visa requirements to ASEAN countries Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and including Philippines.

Much to my amazement and excitement, I later found out that it was just false information. The link of the sites 1 and 2 that circulated online forgot to mention that it was just Thailand and Malaysia who were given visa free. However, Japan has granted the Philippines a privilege to apply for multiple entry visa.

The multiple-entry visa for Filipino and Vietnamese travelers will allow them to visit Japan several times within a period of three years. The maximum stay per visit will be 15 days.

For information on the Issuance of Multiple Entry Visas for Nationals of the Republic of the Philippines, please visit Japan embassy website.

While it is not yet visa free to Japan. I tell you, it is easy to get a visa as long as you are complete with your visa requirements. For visa application, I personally recommend Japan accredited agency "Friendship Tours" in Dusit Thani Manila office. I will try to blog about my experience in getting a visa to Japan as soon as possible.

2012 Eight Day Trip | Day 1: Chocolateville Bangkok

I was looking for something new to try in Bangkok and found Chocolateville via a random post in Tumblr. We took a taxi from Chatuchak market and we're very lucky to have found a friendly and very helpful cab driver. The place is definitely not easy to find.

Our driver had to call Chocolateville to ask for directions. And it's so far from Chatuchak. It took us almost an hour to finally see this signage.

When we arrived. It was just W.O.W. It's like a theme park. But actually it's a restaurant with a European vibe in it.

It's a small English village restaurant which looks like a mini Disney theme park without the disney characters.  At the entrance you will be greeted by the windmill, strolling down you will see the light house and other pretty cottages.

We spent probably 6 hours in this place. We left around 10PM. Took a taxi back to our hotel in Pratunam.

If you want to go there, it's better to print this map and give it to the driver.

2010 Macau Trip | Day 4: Fisherman’s Wharf, Venetian Hotel & Casino

FISHERMAN'S WHARF

It's not a theme park or an amusement park rather it's a complex (just like Chocolateville in Bangkok) with lots of dining options.

Located on the Outer Harbour, Macau Fisherman’s Wharf is just a five minutes walk from the Macau-HK Ferry Terminal and is a landmark for visitors arriving by both ferry and helicopter. Possessing of a total business area of over 111,500 square meters, Macau Fisherman’s Wharf is a large-scale multi-functional mall, covering entertainment, shopping, restaurants, hotels and yacht.

VENETIAN HOTEL CASINO

We checked out first at our hostel then head to the Macau International Airport to store our luggage.

The Left Luggage counter is located in the Departure Level and it is open 24 hours a day.

ServicesRate
LEFT LUGGAGE
Hourly: MOP 10.00 per Piece
Daily(24 Hours): MOP 80.00 per Piece
Note:
- Storage for part of an hour is charged as one hour.
- In any 24-hours period, storage is charged at the hourly rate or the
daily rate, whichever is less.
- For security reasons the piece(s) of luggage has to pass through a
screening device before acceptance for storage.

Then we used the Venetian Hotel & Casino shuttle bus at the airport to get to the hotel.

I think we spent 3 hours or so at The Venetian before we came back to the airport - using the same shuttle bus.

2010 Macau Trip | Senado Square, Ruins of St. Paul, Museo de Macao, Mount Fortress, Macau Tower

We were greeted by a festive vibe upon reaching Senado Square. The square were all decorated in celebration of Chinese New Year.

Known as Largo de Senado in Portuguese, the square itself is carpeted Portuguese style with a beautiful spray of black and peach colored tiles, intricately interlocked in a wave pattern.

We made our way to The Ruins St. Paul Cathedral following the crowd and passing a lot of food shops offering free taste.

We tried to get a good picture of the Ruins to no avail. It was crazily crowded that day.

So we posed for photo the other side instead :(

We continued to walk towards Macau Museum. Museu de Macau is just a few steps away from Ruins of St. Paul. We climbed Monte Fortress in order to get there.

We decided to not enter the museum and spent our time wandering around the fortress.

And true enough, there were a lot more interesting sights to see.

Canons anyone?!

And a fantastic view of the city

We ended our day visiting Macau Tower after getting lost and making our way back to the hostel.

Sai Van Bridge

Macau Tower

Then called it a night. We were too tired and it's so cold that we decided not to visit any casinos anymore.

This post is part of Hong Kong and Macau Tour (4 days) series.
